I’ve posted this link before, but I am revisiting this web-page at the moment, because it shows some great imagery of the intensity of Hurricane Sandy, pretty much live (updated every hour). Its a wind map of the US and you can see the density of lines streaming around the east coast around the hurricane. The extent of the storm extends as far as the Mississippi.
